The Episcopal Assembly of the British Isles
The Episcopal Assembly of the
British Isles , founded in 2010, consists of all the active
Orthodox bishops of the British Isles (the United Kingdom of
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as
Ireland), representing multiple jurisdictions. The Episcopal
Assembly of the British Isles is one of several such bodies
around the world which operate in the so-called "diaspora."
. The Committee was established at the meeting of the Pan-Orthodox
Hierarchal Assembly and is a working body of all Christian
Orthodox Juristictions on the British Isles.The Assembly
operates in accordance with the Decision reached at the 4th
Pre-conciliar Pan-Orthodox Conference Meeting at Chambésy (Switzerland)
on 13th June 2009.
